About Karen

I started to do yoga in a serious way, 5 years ago. I took lessons as a student in Padma Yoga Studio that is located in San Luis Potosi, México. Then I discovered that yoga was life for me and I began the Ashtanga Vinyasa for teachers certification (Yoga Alliance) with Diego Peña. This certificate took me one year and a half to complete. Ashtanga is so complex that it may take a lifetime to understand it. Inside this certificate, I also took workshops. The most important for me was with Gregor Maehle (authorized by K Pathabi Jois). In all this studies, we were prepared not just to learn the Ashtanga series, but also biomechanics, posture alignment, Pranayama techniques, Kriyas, anatomy, philosophy and history.

In puerto Vallarta, I currently teach in Espiral Yoga Studio, TheYogi bar, Yoga Puerto Vallarta and I also do private lessons. I can guide Ashtanga series I, Vinyasa , Vinyasa flow, Rocket yoga and prenatal yoga (inside the Ashtanga series).
